Welcome
This site is a record of my 2016 sabbatical exploration into the role of intellect in Christian faith and how faith does, and may, exist and develop without it.
The exploration springs from experiences through my life and ministry with those who lack particular faculties that might 'normally' be depended upon to enable faith. In particular, those with learning disabilities and people living with dementia. So, in many ways what is shared here is partly biographical but also taking the time to delve deeper into some of the issues that have shaped my ministry hitherto. In the same way as certain issues have challenged both my faith and ministry, I hope others may also find a challenge and a fresh direction for their faith, how it is developed and how it is expressed. I apologise at the outset for the use of so many words. Perhaps, at some point, I will find the time to produce audio files and I will endeavour to use visual images where appropriate! |
You may like to begin at the Starting Point where I give some personal background and reasons that have led to this exploration.
